Nuqui is located on the Pacific Coast and the inhabitants are in their majority African descendants. In the region there is still presence of the Embera, an important tribe that has keep their traditions until the present. They are the original inhabitants of this area.
Visitors access the lodge El Cantil by speed-boat on a 20 minutes journey departing from Nuqui.
The best way to reach Nuqui is flying with small aircrafts from Medellín or Pereira. The flight takes no longer than 50 Minutes.
